BEST-PREP: Big Ideas in Science Seminar with Ernst Lengyel, MD, PhD

Join the Center for Health and the Social Sciences for a Burroughs Wellcome Fund Early Scientific Training to Prepare for Research Excellence Post-graduation (BEST-PREP): Big Ideas in Science Seminar.

Through funding obtained from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF), the Pritzker School of Medicine has developed the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Early Scientific Training to Prepare for Research Excellence Post-graduation (BEST-PREP), a longitudinal training program to support the development of MD-only students seeking careers that will include rigorous basic/translational research. Learn more about the program here.

To kick-off the program, the BEST-PREP team is hosting two “Big Ideas in Basic and Translational Research” lunchtime seminars. Each Big Ideas seminar will feature an accomplished researcher providing an overview of their career path, an introduction to their field, and their scientific approach. All UChicago faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend. Lunch is provided.
