Thanks to the wide availability of high-throughput technologies, large amounts of genomics data are generated in biological and biomedical research. This session of the CRI Seminar Series is a hands-on training intended to introduce researchers to the use of web-based and stand-alone genome browser visualization tools.
This session will cover:
- An introduction to commonly used file formats for genomic data
- Downloading, installing, and configuring visualization tools for interactively exploring genomic datasets
- Loading and navigating genomics data using visualization tools
- Saving, sharing, and restoring personal sessions in visualization tools
Since this is a hands-on training, participants must bring their own laptops and have access to the University’s wireless internet connection in order to participate. Please register to reserve your seat.
