This installment of the CRI Seminar Series is an in-depth look at our high performance computing resources for more experienced users. Our HPC Administrator Mike Jarsulic will build on basic knowledge of HPC to provide a thorough look at the CRI software environment and a deep dive into job scheduling. Topics will include:

  • How to determine when your job will start
  • Job efficiency
  • Job arrays
  • Job dependencies
  • Understanding job priority and reservations
  • Scheduling parallel jobs on a single node
  • Scheduling parallel jobs across multiple nodes
  • Scheduling jobs on GPU nodes
  • Data staging

This session is designed for those with basic background knowledge of HPC. If you are looking for an introductory/beginner session, consider attending the HPC Workshop: Beginner session on April 5. You are also welcome to register for both the beginner and advanced sessions.

Bringing your laptop to follow along is encouraged, but not required. Please register to reserve your seat.
