Introduction to IPython and Pandas for Bioinformatics
Speakers: Kyle Hernandez, PhD
Date: Thursday, March 8, 2018
Time: 8:00-11:00am
Location: KCBD 1103

Join the CRI Seminar Series for an introduction to the IPython Notebook interface. A notebook is a very powerful way to work in Python without the need for a command line interface. More than just being a friendlier interface, a notebook lets you quickly develop code a piece at a time in semi-isolated cells.

This seminar will also introduce you to working with Pandas data structures, which are designed to represent tabular data and provide functionality similar to R data frames.

The target audience for this course is people with some programming knowledge. In order to follow along in the workshop, you’ll need to bring a laptop with the Google Chrome browser installed.
