UnCommon Core | part of UChicago Alumni Weekend 2018

Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming an important tool in health care. Join us for a lecture by Sam Volchenboum, the faculty director of the master of science programs in biomedical informatics and threat and response management. Volchenboum will explore the ways in which artificial intelligence and machine learning are poised to inform how data impacts our health. The discussion will highlight the challenges and potential benefits of using big data, such as social media posts, to diagnose disease and track emerging health trends.

Featuring lectures, panel discussions, and multispeaker events with leading faculty, alumni, and students, UnCommon Core sessions are a great opportunity to discover the latest innovations from our UChicago community. Register for Alumni Weekend to attend.
