THE CRI WORKSHOP LEARNING SERIES

The CRI Workshop Learning Series continues with our second event, a bioinformatics workshop to be held at the University of Chicago from December 2-5, 2015.

This four-day, hands-on workshop will focus on the bioinformatics analysis of integrative -omics data, with a focus on linking TF binding, DNA binding, and regulation with expression. Our own experienced bioinformaticians, as well as guest speakers from the University of Chicago community and beyond, will teach skills and topics including the use of Galaxy, experimental design, ChIP-seq analysis, applied R programming, interpretation and visualization of analysis results, and more. This course content is appropriate for biologists, postdoctoral fellows, clinical researchers, and industry professionals.

Thanks to partnership with the Institute for Translational Medicine and Center for Health and the Social Sciences, course credit will be offered for a limited number of current University of Chicago students.

We look forward to this workshop as an opportunity to bring together scientists and students from Chicago and beyond, expanding our bioinformatics community and leading to better research everywhere.

Applications are now open. With the exception of those for students seeking academic credit (for whom special deadlines apply), applications will be evaluated by our selection committee and accepted on a rolling basis as space permits.
