SUMMARY:CRI Seminar Series: Advanced Interactive Data Visualizations with Python
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Interactive Data Visualizations with Python\nSpeaker: Tzuni Garcia\, PhD\nDate: Thursday\, May 2\, 2019\nTime: 1:30-3:30pm\nLocation: KCBD 1103\nREGISTER NOW\n\nJoin us for the next session of the CRI Seminar Series. Data visualization is a vibrant and rapidly evolving area of development in Python. There are many excellent packages available\, each with its own strengths. In this training we will survey several visualization packages and present an introduction to HoloViews\, which integrates several python visualization and data analysis packages and provides a simple and unified API. Additionally\, we will explore how to produce advanced interactive visualizations. \nNote: Example code will be available on the day of the course and attendees wishing to follow along should bring a laptop. Additionally\, they will need to have a working Python 3.7 environment with the following packages (and dependencies) installed: jupyter\, numpy\, pandas\, matplotlib\, bokeh\, seaborn\, and holoviews. An easy way to set this up is with the Anaconda Python platform. \nThis course assumes familiarity with Python and some experience with Jupyter and Pandas is helpful. \nPlease register to reserve your seat. \n
